Recently installed 32 DSM Expansion module. The lower half works just fine. Tried hooking up phones on the upper side and the phone just flashes. When into resourcesf and look at 1.1 and it was enabled, 1.2 said it was enabling. I have tried disabling 1.2, but it still says enabling. Any suggestions?

There is a tech note on the expansion module not initializing correctly if power has been removed for less than 10 seconds.
Remove power from the expansion cabinet for >30 seconds, reconnect, and see if both 1.1 and 1.2 will enable when you install a phone.

Had to escalate call to Nortel. it turned out that the DSM-32 was plug in the 4 port, and accordng to Nortel, it has been know not to work correctly. Moved the DSM-32 to the 3 port and put the GATM-8 in the fourth port and everything came up. Just had to reprogram the trunks and a few phones.
