I have been able to do this with MICS PRI but seem to running into a problem with this BCM 50 using POTS lines. Internally I have set up a route 301 and dest code 301 to dial their California office. this works great for the staff they can easily transfer calls etc..

When calling through the AA however and dialing 301 it says YOU HAVE DIALED AN INVALID EXTENSION. Now do I need to allow pool access to the VN DN? I forgot how I did this in the past and as I mentioned this works all the time with no problem on my PRI sites.

I know I can use a set turn it into DN 301 Call Forward or Redirect it then disconnect the set but I am concerned that in the event of a reboot or power failure that programing will drop off.

Thanks

It is BCM 50 2.0 BTW

If you are using the Automated Attendant to transfer to an external number, why not set up a Transfer Node in the CCR tree, assign the outdial method as "Phone Number" and assign the external number?

That way, if you have an incoming call that needs to be transferred, the AA will signal a LINK on the phone line and transfer the call to the new number

thank you I actually used that procedure quite often but in this case the customer has several departments in California that they want to call to go to some of them are departments some of them are cell phones etc is there any way within the node that I could do that there's probably about 10 or 15 of them. I also have them set up as destination code so they can use them internally
