Hey everyone,

Been lurking here a while trying to figure out the BCM 450 that i've inherited in my job. It is used in conjunction with 4 ip phones at remote locations, linked by site to site VPNs. Due to hardware changes and expansions, i need to set up a new network with new VPN tunnels.

So far, i've linked all the remote locations back to the main branch, but i'm having trouble getting the clients to see the BCM. All other IPs are pingable throughout the network, except for the BCM server which is only contactable within the main LAN. This means that the remote IP phones can't connect.

Now, if i place the phones directly in the main network they will connect. I feel that there's something i'm missing here, but just can't see it. If anyone has any ideas, i'd love the suggestions!

I found out the problem couldn't ping anything external from my BCMs ping utility. Once i realised this, i figured it was the BCMs problem itself.

It turned out the gateway was improperly configured to 192.168.0.253 (the old secondary gateway that was used in the old system). This has been reconfigured to 192.168.0.254, and now all the systems can ping one another.
