I am looking to find out if the BCM 450 r1 with Unified Message software can be set up to send only text or email notifications with no VBK or Wav file attachments.

Customer only wants email notification and no voice attachments.

Yes. There is a check box in mailbox manager under message forwarding that specifies if a wav file should be attached to notifications.

I was told the BCM would attach VBK file on all messages sent via message forwarding and to attach additional wav for PDA devices is where the Option comes in for attach wav under the mailbox manager.

Customer wants only text notification via email no voice attachments.

If you use Desktop Messaging, which is a client that resides on the user's PC, you get a vbk file.

Message Forwarding does not use the client. The Call Pilot just sends the email with a wav attachment, if specified in Mailbox Manager for the individual user.

These are two different features.

Thanks for the quick response!

So if I was not going to use desktop messaging I could use the message forwarding and not select attach wav and customer would only get email notification. That is exactly what the customer is wanting.

I assume the message forwarding is also a per seat keycode?

I see you are a vendor..How would I go about contacting you for equipment purchases or tech support in the future.
