I replaced a hard drive on BCM 450 rls 1 and it goes through like everything is done but the extension numbers have not changed from default. The keycodes are there but nothing else. Any suggestions??

It needs the same patches on the BCM when the backup was done to restore the data.

I will give that a try Thank you for the reply

Update, I loaded all the patches but it still will not load the backup. It goes through all the steps and you see the keycodes and system name are but none of the phone or voicemail programming is there.
Any thoughts anyone?

The backup I have was from a couple weeks ago and it was loaded on my laptop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Tim

When I do any backups, I tend to save them as a *.tar. Have you renamed your backup to e.g. BCM 450 V1 backup.tar and tried uploading it again?.

Where does the backup fail?. Have you tried just loading in the core information?. Don't load in the CDR data as this is a big file within the backup.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

The backup goes through all of its steps but after it reboots the only information that is there is the system name and keycodes. The modules, phone system and voicemail programming is not there.

I have reprograamed from scratch 176 ext's. Have not started voicemail programming yet but the backup file saya it is 5 mb does that sound about the right size?

What hard drive did you use

Was it a multi image hd and reimaged to bcm 450 rel 1

Or did you try to install a different version

The replacement drive was a multiimage hard drive

Was it imaged at r1 via putty?

yeah, phoneguy610 is right, you should go to putty and choose Release one, then your problem will be solved.

Thank you and yes, I did use putty to choose release 1 when ist installed.
Now I think there is something wrong with mainboard or ? I have taken a new backup of the finished new install and for some dumb reason I wanted to see what would happen if I did a restore back to it. It defaulted all except keycodes and system name. Had to reprogram from scratch again. I am at a loss!!
