Hello;
Can I do a hot swap when installing a GASM 8 Module or do I have to power down the system?

Please Advise

Official media bay modules are not hot swappable but it have never caused me any problems..

If its not broke tweak it..

I've installed a new GASM 8 module. When I check my Telephony Resources, its showing unequipped. I've tried to disable/re-enable to no avail. What needs to be done in order for the BCM to recognize the module.

All of the "Global" Media Bay Modules I have seen have a large sticker on top of the module that specifically states that the power MUST be shut off prior to removing or installing these modules. It would be a good idea to use that same practice for all Media Bay Modules.

Remember to disable a module before powering down. This gives you a chance to re-configure the DS30 channel prior to bringing the other Media Bay Module online. (Here assuming you are changing the type of MBM).
