I have recently replaced a MICS with a BCM 450 5.0. Anytime i make a DN change it changes line programming (prime set, control set etc) and the internal autodial button programming on extensions that had the origianl DN programmed. I have not experienced this behavior with MICS or BCM 400's or 50's. Is there something new with the 450 or is there some setting that can be changed to prevent this from happening?

I have seen this several times. Make sure you have the latest patches!

Thanks. After working with my support team and testing with an MICS it appears that this is the default/proper action (even though i feel the programming should stay with the DN assigned). We tested the same scenario on the MICS and it does the same thing. If any one else knows any way to stop this from happening i would apprieciate the info.

The programming will stay with the phone that it is programmed on. So if set A is ext 2000 and you change it to 3000 the only thing that changes is the extension. All lines and other programming will remain with this phone. Anyone that had an Auto Dial of 2000 will automatically change to 3000. Hope this helps.

Yes thats whats happening. I sure would like it not to though.

Then physically move the set to another port on the bix block. Then program the dn how u want.
