bcm 450 adding IP sets

I have a site were we are adding 3 IP sets. I have set up the extensions in the system and when we go to configure the sets we enter all the data and the set re boots and asks for the ID so we enter in the DN assigned and then it asks for password. The other sets on the system when installed last year never asked for password. We enter in color*set but that is not working. The 3 sets are refurbished will that make a difference ???
