Have two BCM 450s and a BCM 50; accessing via Business element manager:

Configuration tab\applications\ voice messaging/contact center
when I launch the manager I get a window that says;

there are multiple network adaptors
please choose the address to use

it give the IP of my desktop pc
and
0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1

if I choose either it get a cmd window from my own pc rather than launching the callpilot applicatoin on the BCM.

No, this is within our network (intra-net)

You have 2 450's and 1 50 on the same network at the same location? Have you tried to connect to the systems via the OAM port to see if you can connect to the CP?

Copy the link below into your web browser then edit the IP address to match the correct BCM you want to connect to.
Once connect add to favs in browser, do same for all sites......no you wont need to use the launcher any longer.

If you still get same issue maybe take a screen shot and post it perhaps, it's odd it would bring up a command window.
Are you using Microsoft IE Browser? if not try it.

I was going to start my own thread but figured I would tag onto this one. I ran into this problem last week on a BCM450 R1 and thought it was just my laptop (WIN7 Pro JAVA 7.7). Checked my updates with Microsoft for laptop and is up to date. This week I have come across 3 more individual sites: BCM450r6,BCM50r6,BCM50r3. All four of these are up to date with patches (as of 10/9/12,lol) and my Element Manger is at 62.0.4 (latest). Like mentioned above when you click on "Launch Call Pilot Manager" and select the correct IP address it suddenly opens a CMD/DOS box. I have found some other threads but more so related to older version and patching/upgrading EM seemed to fix. One site had an old XP machine running EM 60.0.3 and that worked fine. Also have uninstalled EM and re-install with no luck.

Thoughts?

Using that URL and changing to the IP address for the system worked.
That's a nice work-around on the problem.
If I could find the place to change the link address for the launch callpilot app within the BCM element manager application, think it would fix the problem.

Unfortunately my customers are requesting this to work correctly and not utilizing IE direct :(

As mentioned

-BCM should be patched to latest (state type and rls if unsure)

-EM should be updated (62.0.4 is latest)

-Update Java , 32 BIT required which runs on 64 BIT Win7 - (latest is Ver 7 Update 7)

-Default browser - fort me it works fine with Firefox ver 16.0.1

As mentioned

-All systems are up-to-date on there patches.
-EM is 62.0.4
-Java is 7.7
-IE9/WIN7 updated
Clients running XP machines with older version of EM (or current)have no issues. It is only WIN7 PRO machines running EM 62.0.4. Changed my default browser to Chrome, still no luck.
Again this was working fine up until last week sometime. Thought is was a patch related issue but clearly cannot be on 4 individual systems. Going to try downgrading to IE8 and rollback Java.
