Hi,

I am trying to connect to an old BCM400 using Windows 7 64 bit and Element Manager Ver 62.0.4
Using Element Manager and click on VALIDATE DEVICE, it says the IP address device validated successfully but the Device type is Unknown.
When I try to connect with EM, it says" Exception occured....BCM Detector can not determine the device type for
Am a using the wrong version of Element manager or does BCM400 not work with Win7? Any idea how I can connect to the BCM to view sets, etc?

Thanks,
Beth

If it is old enough, you may need to url to the BCM which may use java - the older BCM400's used java instead. And you may need to use an older version of java as well. Sorry I can't recall the ver. that it changed.
