BCM 400 updates

I am trying to load a patch onto the BCM 400 4.0 and when clicking on the "Get New Updates" button, nothing happens. I am doing this remotely so I am not in front of the BCM, but I did reboot the BCM. Not power down.
Anybody know why this is happening and what to do to fix it?
 
Do you have the latest element manager?

I'm also assuming you are on something faster then dialup, that would be painfully :)
 
I do not know if it is the latest, but it is the same one I always use to get into this customers BCMs. I installed the last patches to this BCM back in December of 2009 and I have never had any trouble till now. I can view everything else on the BCM. I tested opening callpilot manager as well and that opened.
And yes, not using dial up.
 
When all fails REBOOT!
I have seen that when the patch has already been entered.
But you said these are new - reboot.
 
I did a soft reboot, not a power down yet. I was not onsite. But this should be able to get powered down tomorrow. As for the patch, yes it is new. Even if it is not new, it is not even coming up to locate the patch on my laptop. I click get new update and nothing... I tried the 2 BCM 50s this one is networked with and they both came up asking for patch location...
 
Assuming you can't do a hard reboot now....have you tried rebooting your PC....
 
Well...like you said you were able to get into the 50's fine....so a hard reboot might be the key...dont forget to backup.

 
That is what I will do. Backup then hard reboot.
I will post results, thx for your help.
 
Got a backup last Friday then tried the patch after hours and still not working...
Maybe for some reason it is wanting me in front of it. I have never had this trouble before.
What do y'all think?
 
Conclusion: I had to uninstall Element Manager and reinstall it from the BCM I am attempting the patch on. It now works. The End
