Possibly a dumb question...don't get too involved past programming , but is there a way to print out what is on system similar to a TNB,DNB,Trunk printout on an M1?
Thanks

Not until release 4.0 unfortunately, far as I'm aware.

For all of those people who can't wait for 4.0
1. Login via SSH (using PuTTY)
2. Use the command line
3. Goto: F:\Program Files\Nortel Networks\Voice Solution
4. Run telinv.exe
5. Read Instructions

telinv.exe will create a XML file that you can download by enabling the BCM drive shares.

1. Login via SSH (using PuTTY)????
Could you briefly define these terms?
Thanks

download PuTTY software (find it using google or download it from the BCM client software page)

enter the ip-address of the bcm, choose SSH as protocol and connect. login using the ee_admin account.

steeef,
Thanks for the very clear explanation. Have a star.

Could you help a little more on the syntax and how to enable the shares?

NARSBARS

If you goto F:\Program Files\Nortel Networks\Voice Solution and type (telinv) it will print a list of commands.

you can goto Maintence and enable shares

acewarlock,
I can get to maint ok now, thanks. I am still having syntax problems. Tried the telinv and telinv (space) cmd
Tried Telinv (no space command)
Tried Telinv/cmd
Telinv:cmd
Is it possible I am creating the file with one of the commands but expecting a feedback I am not seeing?
Appreciate the help.

I have a BCM400, for testing/playing purposes. I see 2 ethernet ports, 2 usb, one serial.

There is a modem card inside.
I want to connect on it using hyper terminal, but it seems that it's not responding, nothing on the terminal ...

I have an internal dhcp server on LAN, and I noticed above that could I connect via putty/ssh, you know if is setup to take an ip using a dhcp server by default?

I just connect to the console using a null modem cable on the serial port, now I have to se what the username/pass/domain I should use to go in the CLI.

There is somewhere a default username and a password?
Should I reset the bcm before?

Thank'x.

You might do better if you start another thread with your specific question. Someone may answer it here but you would get alot more hits posting it separately.

It's not polite to highjack somene elses question. start a new thread.

Thanks guys ...I'm off to Home Depot to get a putty knife.
Or maybe wait for Release 4.0
Yikes!

acewarlock,
I can get the list of commands but I am having problems using the syntax correctly. Could it be printing the reports and I just don't realize it? I was looking for some feedback after entering the commands.
Thanks for the help and I won't be too embarassed if you have to tell me to use my "other" left hand.

just type telinv -dc (for example)
this will create the file invdc.xml

please note:
after entering the command the bcm hangs for a while

Steeef, how do you get to F:\Program Files\Nortel Networks\Voice Solution? I tried and failed. It has to be something simple but it's Monday you know.
