Hi all,
I am using BCM 400 Release 4.00 with 30 channel PRI.
I need to hide DID from one extension. For an example my extension is 312 and I don't want to show to others my DID or pilot number. When I call they should see like private number or something.
Can it be possible in BCM or do we need some configuration from service provider.

Thanks in advance.
Hari

I don't think it's possible. I've looked at the programming on my BCM 50 with two IP phones within Element Manager and I can't see any settings that would stop any CLID from being sent to another extension.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

However, if it's outgoing calls then You might be able to supress the digits sent by changing the public OLI in line access. I only have two COT lines, so I don't think it's going to be of much help here.

Dear firebirdscrambler,
Thanks a lot for your advice. But if I change the public OLI, receiver will see the changed number and if its in different range he will see the pilot number.

I think there is a feature code the extn user can dial first which blocks the clid going out.

Can't remember what it is right now. Feature 8xx in that range.
Should be in the admin manual

Thanks a lot snowman50 for advice,
I checked in Admin manual but I was unable to find it.

I used F819 but still showing caller ID. Should I need to change any configuration?

This is taken right out of the BCM50 Device Config Manual. Mind you, this is for North America though. Given you have a 30 channel PRI, I am assuming you are in Europe somewhere so maybe the system works different there (but given this is a BCM feature code, it should work). Is your carrier sending the CLID info or is the BCM doing it? If it's the carrier, you will need to set up your BCM to send name first, then this code will likely work.

Protecting privacy of outgoing calls

Block the name and number information for outgoing calls using the ONN (outgoing
name and number) blocking code.
The user can block the call information for an outgoing call using Feature 819.
To cancel ONN Blocking enter Feature #819.

Procedure steps
Step Action
1 Click Configuration > Telephony > Global Settings > Advanced Feature Settings.
2 Specify a code that allows users to block outgoing name and number display over an
analog tone line., analog pulse line, or BRI trunk.

--End--

Sounds like the PRI is coming from an IAD (integrated access device) and they are controlling the CLID from there.
