I was using some pacth to upgrade a BCM 400 v.3.7, but I couldn't because I always received a error like this: Disk F without enought space, When I check the disk F is true, I move some file to disk G but when I check again the disk was still full and now I cant move the files to the first location because it give me a error message "Disk full" What can I do?

I can´t install the pacth that is the main problem, everytime I try to install the upgrade I get the error message about the space in the disk. What can I do?

I tried to install the pacth but I got the same error message:

1)The MSC core teephony software could not be properly recognized.

2)There is insufficente disk space on BCM F:\

3)The MSC card does not apperar to be the correct type

What is MSC? Do I have to delete some file on F disk?
What can I do?

MSC ( Media service card) is the BCM telephony card installed in the phone system.
This is what makes your phones work.

Are you letting the patch run when you see the errors appear,
I have sometimes got an MSC card error but just let the patch run to completion.
Your laptop may show It freeze part of the way through but wait the normal 20 mins and watch the 2 reboots.

If every looks as if its working then try your other patches

You may have screwed the pooch by moving files around.
Try this prior to running the patch.
Log into Unified Manager Configuration and highlight System.
Go to the "Tools" drop-down menu and select "Refresh System Inventory".
Wait a couple of minutes and try the patch again.

Didn´t work, the error freeze the install completly, What can I do?

Get a call accounting program and erase the unwanted files that are on the hard drive.

There is also a way to go into maintence using telnet to the drive and remove the files. Search on Nortels knolage solutions and you will find the instructions.

I already have access to the drive using the VNC password, Which file can I delete?

but my problem is in the drive F not the drive E, which file can I delete in the drive F?

I would re-image using the BIT tool as well, of course if you have a backup of the voice applications.

I had a exactly same case before, I called teh Nortel got their engineer login the Linux and delete some files, and modified some files, don't remember the details.

Always learn from someone, something or somewhere......
