BCM 400 Cooling Fan Light

Going out to replace a BCM 400 cooling fan today. Not sure if the red light will go out when the fan is replaced or if there is a reset command that will need to be entered. Also I have read that I can replace the fan without powering down the system, anyone have any further input on that. Thanks in advance for the help.

I only have time to do it right.

The light will go out and you can do it while the BCM is on. Becarefull.
