My first time programming a BCM 400. I have just set up auto-attendant and when you call in the line just rings. On extension 221 the phone displays Line121 to Prime. I have set up the day and after hours greetings. Set up the times to match these greetings. day is greeting table 1 and after hours is greeting table 3. did not check boxes for disable DN dialing. attendant extension is 221. did not check box for custom auto attendant menu prompts. under line administration I set answer mode to auto-attendant, table/skillset to 1 and number of rings 1. Under the BCM there is a section where you can set manual or auto answer. I pick manual and the line rings and rings. I set it to auto and the phone rings once then i get a dial tone. I can then punch 221 and the 221 extension starts to ring. Everything else other than a few mailboxes are still at the default setting. I managed to get a favor from verizon and a tech came out to default the system and checked all cards to insure functionality before I started programming. One time favor so I am on my own. Guy said all I had to do was set up the mailboxes and auto attendant, everthing else was ok and I should be good to go. Any help will be much appreciated. If you need more info I will try my best to get it to you! Thanks

You need to assign the lines to be answered by the auto attendant. In the call pilot under AA you will see a list of lines. Change them there. Change the lines in the element manager back to manual.

Have you looked at the monitor to see what's happening when you call in?

I set the lines under call pilot to answer by auto attendanat, zero rings, table 1. still no working Auto attendant. Haven't found the monitor? Have found reports where it shows there has been no phone calls. going to try a reboot. Any info is much appreciated.

Is line 121 the line you are using that needs to be answered.
If so then set Line 121 to be answered by AA.

Also make sure the operator f982 is set to answer lines.
This allows the receptionist to switch of the AA.

I got it. I had lines set to answer on 1-4. needed to change them to 121-124. thanks a bunch for the help!
