I just had to replace the HDD in my BCM 400 3.6. I put the drive in and was able to get to the web interface just fine. Then I wen into through the serial port and initialized the HDD with all the MBMs in the system. Once initialization was done, I did the config wizard and rebooted the switch. Now, everything appears to be up, but I cannot access the web interface to get to unified Manager. I can ping the NIC just fine. When I looked at the services running, I see the Apache service is not running, but when I try to manually start it, it doesn't start. What did I do wrong?

You need to download and run the apache certificate fix tool, which can be downloaded from nortel's website.

If you don't have access to nortel's site, you can set the date on the BCM back to something before January 1, 2008, run the universal profile again, then log in, change the date to current and you'll be fine.

That is exactly what I needed to know. Now my only problem is I don't know how to change the date/time using either the phone or the serial interface. I tried pulling the CMOS battery, but some how it retained it.

Access the Bcm thru the serial port then go to "command line" or something that sounds like that, that will bring you to the C or D prompt then type "date" and enter and modify it.
Good old DOS..!

Good ol Dos is right!!! I hadn't connected those dots yet. Thanks!!! It worked like a champ!!!
