I'm currently updating our Detailed Inventory from 2011 to 2012 spreadsheets by gathereing the data from the detailed inventory option of the maintenance section.

The systems have redundant HDD's. I'm finding that the systems which had a failed HDD in 2011 which was then replaced and mirrored are not populating the System Patches section of the detailed inventory!

Does this mean that the patches didn't convey when the HDD was replaced or is there a way to update the Detailed Inventory at this release software??

I fear that when audited from last year to this year, my customer will notice the discrepancy and question it.

What say you?

In Element manager Go to Administration->Software Management->Software Inventory.

Should show you the version number of the individual packages installed.

Software update history may be blank since it's only a log of previous patch attempts and not actually checking what bits on the hard drive are installed. The Software Inventory should get it's list from the patch manager.

This isn't a really old WindowsNT version of a BCM200/400 is it? Because that might be different.

For the older BCM 2.x and 3.x systems running on Windows NT. You will need to browse with Microsoft explorer to the BCM home page using either the BCM LAN1 or LAN2 IP address.

Log in and select the Maintenance tab near to the bottom. Within that section is another area to allow to to carry out a full inventory

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

QueBAll780...It is the older WindowsNT software. Have to browse w/ Microsoft explorer to the BCM homepage.

firebirdscrambler...This is exactly where I'm at however like I said in my original post, The Detailed Inventory is telling me that there are no system patches. Did I loose them when the HDD was replaced/mirrored?

Also...at the System Home Page > System > Tools. There is a drop down to refresh the system inventory! I tried this and it didn't find the or populate the patches.

I've got a sneaky feeling that your Java on your computer is a later version that what is supported on the older BCM NT versions. I seem to remember that you can't view all the drop down menus etc with Java 1.6.

I'm sure that you need 1.5 or less. I rarely access these old beasts these days.
