BCM 400 3.0.1 Can't Gain Access Through Ethernet, Why? 3

I have recently picked up a BCM 400 3.0.1 System. I have been able to access through null modem cable using super/visor. System shows standard ip 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.11.1 My PC setup for my BCM 400 4.0 with crossover cable (which can access the 4.0 system no problem. What can I do different to access 3.0.1 through ethernet? What am I missing?

Also can ping ok. but no access through IE.

You're missing port 6800.In bcm's older versions you needed to set the port to 6800. In IE put it like this "10.10.10.1:6800". You'll get to the main page and then you will access the bcm thru the "configure" button.Remember to use an older version of Java, otherwise you won't be able to use some of the tabs like "telephony".

I try with the 6800 and get a different sort of message along the line of can't display page through IE. (Which Version ... I'm thinking IE 6.XX not sure. Windows XP is OS. I Also use Firefox on occasion. I try it with Firefox and WHAMM!!! I'm in!!! SUPER FANTASTIC!!!! gberger Much Thanks!!

Although not completely sure this is best solution for me. I will hunt older version of IE tomorrow. I can sleep tonight. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Also can't acess call pilot system password different. Any Ideas?

Are you trying to use EM to access the BCM 3.0?, if so you need to use UM instead.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

If you have the access to a 3.7 HDD, I recommend you write down all the keycodes on the 3.0.1 and stick in the 3.7. 3.0.1 is the WORST!! I now only have it at 5 sites, and the second an opportunity comes, they will receive a 3.7 HDD. 3.0.1 is extremely buggy
