we have a customer with a 3.7 running call center professional with reporting whaen trying to access reports it says XML error , if you clear this error it then alows you to view the page . this system has worked great for 2 years .

thanks.

Like SupportDude mentionned if you installed patches lately specifically the rcc and voicemail ones while your reporting server was still pulling data from the bcm,it could've create corruption. Try running the dbfixutil and fix database but most likely you should uninstall and re-install rcc reporting software only.

we have not installed any patches in around a year , if it aint broke don' fix it mentality . if the server has recieved any then could that cause an issue or does it sound like a database corruption issue ?

Run the dbfixutil first and if you dont have corruption, uninstall rcc and reinstall it.It fixes the xml errors most of the time.

I do remember an issue with RCC on 3.7 dealing with XML errors that should not have been seen.
Of course, a patch corrected this problem.
If you're getting invalid XML, you can skip it and move on.
If you're getting incompatible XML, you got bigger problem.
Its doubtful that the problem is with the Database because the XML stream is between the BCM and the RCC Server.
You might want to upgrade to the latest Core, VM, and RCC.
There is a new benefit in the latest RCC for the end user.
You now have the ability to purge old Database records.
This is a great addition, as you can control the size of the CCRDB and avoid DB corruption.
