We have just recently implemented BCM 3.6 with Reporting for Call Center.
The issue I am having is that we run McAfee Virusscan, 8.0 and the reporting looses connection to the BCM constantly.
The only way around this was to have the computer that RCC is on excluded from virus updates, the services for virusscan set to manuel and turned off.
The problem with this is it leaves this one computer (running W2K SP4) vulnerable to viruses.
Does anyone know if there is a patch or anyway around this so that Virusscan can run without RCC loosing connection to the BCM.. maybe a patch or if someone has seen this issue before.
thanks
James

There is a section in the BCM manual that talks about this problem. I think it says you need to disable the real time protection. If you check out the manual for more info.

Don't disable real time scan just exclude the RCC, mySQL and related folders from real time scanning.
