So recently I was having problems getting the advanced call center reporting to connect and download what was in the db. I finally got the CCR Server to connect by applying the newest patches. The CCR Server states it's going to take a few minutes to update the database, it goes up to 76% and the # of calls jumps to 99, this is where it hangs and won't move. It seems like it's overloaded with the amount of data it's trying to pull, does anyone know a way to clear out the Call Center DB so I can set up the reporting fresh and just grab data going forward, I'ld like to access the historical data but understand that may not be an option at this point.

On a side note our T1 provider called stating that they are seeing alot of air seconds from our phone switch and stated it's because it may not be grabbing it's timing off the T1 line is there something I should do to prevent this.

I apologize cause this is new to me, I appreciate any help you guys can give me, I'm at a roadblock with our dist, and Nortel won't help me directly.

Thanks
Jesse

Hi Jesse,

could u pls tell me what patches (versions) u used for this BCM? I had the same probleme b4 with older patches but now with the newest patches all works fine... so i guess u dont use the newest patches so far huh?

regards,

subx

I went on the site to find the version of the patches I had installed and just saw the new Reporting for Call center patch dated March 9, is this the update you installed that seemed to fix the issues?

Thanks
Jesse

yes i installed that one ... but did u also install the call pilot patch? as i know its important that u install the new call pilot & the call center reporting patch... if u only install the call center reporting patch it might still not work....

regards,

subx

it's best practice to shutdown the RCC server before adding new RCC patches...

just rename the database file and the system will build a new one. on the t1 make sure you change the clocking to primary, the default is master and won't work right and will show alot of errored seconds.

Sub - I did install both of the patches about 2 months ago, but I haven't installed the most recent ones yet.

jdavid99 - I renamed the ccrs.mdf file but it never recreated it, and then the reporting would finish downloading but didn't have any of my skillsets listed or anything. Our dist is sending me the latest patch so I'll install that next week and see if it works. The clocking worked though, I appreciate your help on that jdavid.

Starting to realize not a lot of customers manage these BCM's themselves, it's ridiculous that Nortel won't allow me to download the patches for our bcm directly and they refuse to talk to me about anything since I'm not a distributor. I want to continue to manage it and don't feel we should have to purchase a service plan for it, is there anything I could do that would make my life with the BCM easier?

Thanks again for all your guys help

Jesse
