Good Day,

I am facing an issue with BCM 200 4.0 system, whenever a power failure occurs the system resetting the DNs to last cold reset state. The other configurations are remains unchanged (line assignment, capabilities, preferences & restrictions).

Best Regards,

take a backup of the config > retrieve the keycode file and save to desktop > re-image the hard drive.
sounds like you may have corrupt segments on HD (sorry, it's a lot of work but not too bad if you can get a back up)
hope this helps

Thanks Mr. FlyinScotsman,

I will try this. I need to get down time from customer to do this job.

Thanks again.

While you have the BCM powered down, give it a damm good clean to get rid of the muxt that's probably built up inside the unit. Also check the circuit board and connections.
Most likely the hard disk has gone as stated above.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

I had this same problem with a few sites (Same customer all installed at the same time) that I upgraded from release 3.6 to 4.0 years ago. Everytime they lost power they defaulted to whatever the original start DN's were. The rest of the database stayed there, with the exception of desination codes that may have conflicted with the defaulted DN's. Nortel at the time shipped me new MSC cards that fixed the problem. They said that was a known issue with a limited number of the 200 MSC cards that got upgraded to 4.0.

Was this site upgraded to 4.0? I never tried the re-image process. It may work. I am curious to know if it does.
