I installed a BCM50 which worked great for 2 weeks. The calls are supposed to ring in on a hunt grp key(2 sets Loc221 and Loc222),ring 4 times and if unaswered are then answered by the AA. After a few seconds the call then rings back at Loc221 on the intercom key(rings 5 x's)and if not answered the call is then forwarded no answer to the VMB221. This was working great until yesterday. The problem is that now the BCM50 will not play the Company Greeting (Good Morning thank you for calling ABC Company or Good Afternoon etc). It now says that 'the person that you are trying to reach is unavailable' and then plays the customized AA prompt. The attendant is available and business is open. The correct greetings are assigned to the time of day.
I tried rerecording the greetings as 5-8 but this did not help. I have also rebooted the system.
Any suggestions?

Is the AA still programmed to answer the specific lines after x-amount of rings? check line setting table in CP.

Yes the AA is set to answer after 4 rings. L61 and 62 are assigned to be answered by the AA. This was working fine and everything is working with the exception of the Company Greeting being skipped.

I know you have said you are using hunt groups.
But this sounds as though someone has forwarded there extn to the voicemail which does not actually have a mailbox.
If this happens then the call will goto the AA bypassing the greeting and play the AA message only.

I do know hunt groups do not take into account the extn user call forwarding rules.
But maybe somehow the lines have been programmed to ring directly to an extn and this extn is forwarded to voicemail.

Check each extn to see if they are forwarded to V Mail DN

This trouble has now been resolved. The problem with the Greetings not working was caused (by the dufus (me)) from assigning the overflow point for the HG to the VM DN.
Thank you Dasheen and Snowman50 for your assist.
Happy New Year.
