BCM 1000 Ver 2.5 Unified Manager Login Difficulties

We recently upgraded our laptops to Win 7 64bit machines. Ever since then I have not been able to get past the login window for Unified Manager. Is this a java issue on 64 bit machines? Or is it a java version issue? Something else? I know at one point several years ago we had to install a specific version of java to allow login, but I can't remember which. For some reason new runtime Java versions are not backwards compatible.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

find an old version of Java. there should be one right on the BCM you can download.

OK. I've done that downloaded the Java classes and installed them from the BCM and restarted IE but still can't get past the login screen. Can someone tell me which version of Java is required and is it compatible with IE 9?
