Hi there,

we have a BCM 1000 with current rel. 3.6

I did try an upgrade from 3.6 to 4.0 but it failed... after 2 hours non moving i gave up and tried again... but nothing happend. Anyways i thought about imaging the disk to 4.0 and start there... but also here it dont work... when im checking it via console there is an error during autocoreupload...

Is there any chance to get this BCM back to life?

cheers,

Did you run the pre-upgrade check tool before you attempted to perform the upgrade?

This would tell you if the system is ok to proceed or not.

I believe you may have to image a HDD with 3.6 to get this back to operational functionality. Then if you have a backup available, you should be able to load the telephony and voicemail configuration back in.

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS

Is the telephony still working? if so load the latest desktop/SU patches and it should force the coreload.
If you have a 3.6 backup, i'd suggest re-imaging to 3.6, restore backup then proceed with the 4.0 upgrade.

Yes I did this check and there was an error about the files size of the CDR data.. but of course I did delete these files as written in a different thread here.. After that everthing was showing OK... Also the check in the upgrade didnt show anything wrong so it started...

both: I will try an reimaging of 3.6 today and get the latest patches... I dont have any backup but this is OK since its not going back to a customer and will stay as test system once its up and running...

I will let you know how the things work out...

Since you have the upgrade keycode that mean you now have the 4.0 license file.Save some time, just re-image a 4.0 HDD,apply desktop9 and SU14 and load your license file.
You just saved an hour and a half...!
