NEED YOUR HELP, I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET BCH TO BCH TRANSFER FROM A ISDN PRI BETWEEN A 81C AND A 5ESS OFFICE WITHOUT ANY LUCK. THE 81C HAS SUCCESSION 3 INSTALLED IN IT, I KNOW I'VE SEEN THREADS OUT THERE ABOUT IT WORKING. BELLSOUTH IS NOT BEING HELP AT ALL IN GETTING THIS APPLICATION TO WORK. IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE IVR DOES A HOOKFLASH AND SENDS THE CENTRAL OFFICE A CODE TO TELL IT THAT THE CALL IS COMING BACK TO IT AND TO TRANSFER THE CALL TO THE NUMBER BEING SENT OVER THE DCH.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS THIS WORKING WOULD THEY BE WELLING TO LET ME TALK TO THERE CUSTOMER CONTACT AS TO HOW THEY GOT IT TO WORK WITH THERE TELCO.
THANKS IN ADVANCE PERRYPJ

check your trunks on the pri and make sure thfa is an in class, is the ivr tring to so a same trunk transfer?.. that does work but you'll need to check to see if it's turned on in the class of the trunk at the co (ess5) also. Dealing with bellsouth is easy, tell them what you want, ask them when it will get done and then get the supervisors name that will be in charge of getting it done, if it don't happen, get the supervisor on the line with his boss. just like any large company, if you go up the food chain fast enough and far enough, the problem will be solved. DO remember that the switchman that programs the your 81 does not have acces to the ess5, same name different company..

hint: i have in the past used a forward to, picking up a different channel, when transfer to seem to give me timeing problems, that is an easy work around in the ivr...

I had an issue with trunk to trunk transfers that sounds similar to what you describe. We had incoming ISDN trunks from Verizon, and wanted to transfer them through Symposium out a TIE to another call center. the transfer worked internally just fine, but when we called from an outside line, it didn't work at all. It took about three weeks, and at least four techs before we figured out that Verizon was sending the calls as data, and we were trying to pass them on as voice. We changed a prompt (DSEL?) from VCE to VOD, and it has been working ever since. Good luck JK

THANK YOU GENTLEMEN I BELIEVE I CAN MAKE SOME HEAD WAY NOW
