Hi All

Anyone experienced upgrade problems from BC9 to BC12, and can anyone provide info as to what to look out for

You have to upgrade all LPU eprom's,tlu76 elu 28.
Depending on what r-state their in.
Your supplier can tell you more when he get's info on your configuration.
When you have a groupswitch you also have to upgrade all the
GJUG boards as well.

Success.

Many thanks CIF....it appears I have a bit of a job on my hands, 29 LIMS

EPROM's on LSU adn DSU must be changed too
eproms on ELU 28 and TLU 76 can be changed later

It took us two weeks with 6 persons for a 39 LIM system.
All work had to be done after 20:00 hrs.

If you have DNA it's better you upgrade this to 5.1 as well.

Success

Cheers All........gotta do it. I'll crack on

Hi CIF
Yes You have rights that before upgrading MD 110 upgrading DNA is needed
But is a one little problem
DNA 5.1 Sp1 supported (BC 10 & BC 11) and BC 12 only to SP3.
For BC 12.1 and higher DNA 5.2 is needed.
DNA 5.2 have new license system but don’t worry for customer who have DNA 5.0 or 5.1
This upgrade with new license is free of charge

Look for bad patch in ELP6 the CI=S102888A. With that patch
active you never get b-party current disconnect from any
analog station boards with ICAT=XXX4.
Passivate the patch,PCPAS:UNIT=ELP6,CI=S102888A; but keep and hopefully Ericcson will soon have a replacement patch. I discovered this with 63 lim upgrade from BC9 to Bc12 SP4.
