Hi,

First of all your system has an IPA number. With this number you must order an upgrade from Ericsson. You will get the new licences from Ericsson. At this step you have 2 choices. You can send your system configuration to Ericsson which has been get via PCREGEN and order for an easy software upgrade. You will get a dump of your system at BC12. Loading this dump to your hard disk and reboot the system after 5 minutes (1 LIM syatem) your system is BC12. The second way is you get an INL (initial load) of the system load it to hard disk reboot the system and send the configuration via PCREGEN It will take 1-2 hours (1 LIM system). But do not forget some of these procedures are tricky. Be sure you got someone by you who did this before.

Yes, kank is right. You must order an upgrade to BC12 from your local Ericsson representative.

But!!! You must decide in advance - what you want - and then pass it in written form to those who will do it (who will do it your upgrade).

I thing that KANK & HIREI forget about FM
If I remember upgrade from BC 11 to BC 12 needs changing PROM-s on
LPU, LSU and DSU and other board
And memory on LPU if is not 64 Kb

Upgrade procedure above is correct.

But forget about BC12.
Upgrade directly to "MX-ONE Telephony System – Telephony Switch". This is new name of MD110. You can consider it as MD110 BC13.

BC12 will be in passive sustaining in 5-6 month and SP11 will be the last update.

If you don't plan to use new boards (IPLU, TLU76/11 etc) Telephony Switch is rather stabile now.
