Hello again,

does anyone know what BayRS's default timeout is once a TFTP transfer has begun? Ie, how long between packets before the router gives up and aborts the transfer.

thanks,

andy

I think the default is 25 Seconds. If you look at the TFTP values on Sitemanager, it has a retry timeout parameter of 5 seconds which specifies the number of seconds TFTP waits for an acknowledgment before retransmitting the last packet. And a retransmit value of 5 which is the number of times TFTP transmits an unacknowledged message before abandoning the transfer.

Which from my thinking is 5 x 5 = 25 seconds. These are configurable though.

Hope this helps
