I currently have an option 21C today in one of our offices, but we are looking to upgrade to an option 11C in the very near future. But this system is a DC switch and we purchased last year new batteries that give us a whopping 24 hours of back up (much more than we really need). Does any one know if there is a way to use these batteries with a Option 11 today? Right now I'm being told that the batteries have to go in the garbage and a UPS put in place instead, any suggestions?

find a vendor that knows what a dc power supply looks like. they did make a dc ps for the 11.. if that can't be found, find a dc to ac convertor to turn the output of the bat bank to 110. keep the charger on at all times and your 11 running off of the dc to ac..

You should be able to get a DC powered Option 11C then you can use the batteries.
