Environment: Windows 2000 Server with Crystal 9 installed.

The situation is that I have a client which have requested for approximately 150 reports by entity and they currently have 200 plus entities in the system. The reports usually need to be distributed to the subsidiary on entity or entity group basis. The users needs a formula which they could utilise to batch these reports up with the ability to specify a few key parameters like entity, entity group, counterparty, counterparty group, etc. Group report by Entity and have a page break, new header, restart page count, etc for every new entity.

What this means is that you have 1 report, and you change 1 data item each time, and run the report for each item. E.g. you might have 150 entities, and so you run the report 150 times with each entity in turn. All this would be set up in a batch overnight. The reason we will have one (or two) standard report format for each report required is because we will need a separate file generated for each entity as the entities should not be able to look at information relating to another entity.

Any ideas? Thanks,
Joe
