I need to run multiple programs from one batch file. Can anybody advise a procedure or web site.

Many thanks funstur.

Make a Batch File contains this command :
start [the files you want to run]

Example :

you have 3 programs with the names pro1,pro2,pro3
and you want to execute them all from 1 batch file , do the following :

make a batch file called go.bat , for example ,
and this file includes these commands :
start pro1
start pro2
start pro3

that's all :)
test it and if there is any problem please post again.

sorry to parasite on to this, but how would you terminate those same files? EX:

start pro1
wait 90 seconds
terminate pro1
start pro2
start pro3

You have plenty of answers here but you may want to do some "clever" stuff with the applications and for this reason you might wish to look at Windows Script Host. WSH is part of Windows 98, 2000 and is intended to replace the old Batch programming with a 32-bit interface VBS style allowing you all the flexibility of a full OOP language (you can run WSH as well as large amounts of VBS and JP code directly or call VBS and JP modules). You can control applications from their COM interface (which means you can manipulate the likes of Word, Excel and such in fine detail). I purchased a book from SAMS (I do not think I am breaking the promotion, selling criteria by using their name) anyway it was excellent for WSH but as a benefit it gave me a whole new perspective to the various MS server interfaces. A starter on WSH is available on the Microsoft site for more information about how Windows Scripting Host works, see:
::) enjoy
