do u mean that you want after a while of time that the application you started get closed and the 2nd application then starts ?!

You have plenty of answers here but you may want to do some "clever" stuff with the applications and for this reason you might wish to look at Windows Script Host. WSH is part of Windows 98, 2000 and is intended to replace the old Batch programming with a 32-bit interface VBS style allowing you all the flexibility of a full OOP language (you can run WSH as well as large amounts of VBS and JP code directly or call VBS and JP modules). You can control applications from their COM interface (which means you can manipulate the likes of Word, Excel and such in fine detail). I purchased a book from SAMS (I do not think I am breaking the promotion, selling criteria by using their name) anyway it was excellent for WSH but as a benefit it gave me a whole new perspective to the various MS server interfaces.
