Is there any way to write a batch(.bat) file that doesn't leave the DOS window open after execution in Windows95-98? I'm not able to use a .pif file because this is going on a CDROM for use on various Windows OS's. The problem only occurs on 95/98.

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but was the closest thing I could find.

You use the clear screen function at the end of the batch file. Type in cls as the last command. it should close the screen upon finishing whatever it was suppose to do.

You must check the box close on exit in the batch's properties (right click, property, program) and write EXIT at the end of the batch.

bye
