Hi

Our ISP has assigned us 6 static ip addresses:

***.***.***.1 > ***.***.***.6 (Router address)

Should our subnet mask be:

255.255.255.0 or should it be somthing else?

Thanks B

I would ask the ISP.

If you're on a point to point connection, you could have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.248 for example. On a broadband connection, you may actually be a part of a larger subnet with 6 addresses assigned to you.

You're ISP should provide you with your addresses, subnet mask, and gateway information.

hi,

when you get a static ip account it should contain the following details :

1. ip addresses ( 1 - 6 )
2. SUBNET MASK
3. default gateway
4. DNS numbers

make sure you have them all.
