Hi all
We've been saddled with an old Mitel 3300 ICP, running software version 7.0.8.5.
I've come from using an Asterisk system, so the terminology is a bit different and I'm struggling to configure some stuff that should be pretty simple
The office's telephony requirements aren't huge, but recently we've changed things a bit and need to add in a Ring Group.
We have 4 x ISDN lines and a DiD coming in to the system. Currently every call on an ISDN number rings a pickup group (1), but DiD calls go right to the relevant extension.
We also have a 1300 number, which has been pointed to a specific extension (210).
What I'd like is for every call to that 1300 numebr to ring a group of specified extensions. Ideally the name of the Pickup Group would also appear on the display.
Challengs I can see;
* This sounds like a Ring Group, but our system doesn't seem to have those (not under System Admin / Call Handling, or anywhere else I can see). We DO have Hunt Groups and Pickup Groups, which both sound like they may be viable?
* When I looked at a Hunt Group, I was able to create a HG at extension 210. But when that is dialled only one of the four assigned extensions ring? I've tried setting the HG to circular and terminal, but no joy. Also, I am unable to name the HG, even with the "Type" set to "Name Tag". There's already an existing HG (for voicemail) with a name - so I'm unsure why I can't name this new one. The text box to set the name is permanently disabled.
* I tried to create a Pickup Group (2). I was able to name this and add the relevant extension, so that looks good - but how can I set it such that all calls to extension 210 get rerouted to this pickup group? I cannot set 210 up as a normal extension (as there is no device for it, it would just be a 'virtual' extension). I'm unsure how to setup call routing for an extension number that doesn't, strictly speaking, exst.
Sorry for the long post, I tried to put as much information in as possible.
If anyone is able to offer any assistance or ideas, it would be much appreciated
Regards,
Sam
