Good afternoon

We have a Avaya IP 500 with 1416 phones . We need to learn how to access the main greeting from our phones, so we can record a new greeting for the auto attendant. We have one greeting. We also would like to set up the free flexible keys and add BLF/DSS KEYS. The guy who sold us the system has disappeared, never left us manuals. So any help would be appreciated

Hi,

Do you have a separated PC for your VM ( VM pro ) or your VM is in a chip ( VM Essential ) ? IPO comes with different type of voice mail.

What I would do if I were you is find a local Avaya business partner to help you, if you have no experience with the system its really difficult to program things by just looking in the manual, doesn't quite work that way with IP Office. Just my 2 cents

if this is embedded VM, then it's *8401 to access the first AA built, *8402 to access the 2nd, etc.

The required shortcode to dial is visible by looking at the AA in manager, Autoattendant tab, Short code across from "Menu Options"

For programming BLF buttons press "Features"scroll down to "Phone User" press OK, scroll down to "Self-Administer", press OK, scroll down to "User BLF", press OK, enter a station number and then press the button you want to program with that station number, edit the station number and press another button you want to program, repeat that until all buttons are programmed then press the button with the phone icon.

Embedde VM announcememnts are as said changeable with *8401 upto *8444. the last two digits is the number of the AA (max 44).
It can be locked per AA though, if so you either need a Manager program or if on 9.1 web access and login credentials, by default it is Administrator/Administrator, Manager/Manager or Operator/Operator.
If neither works try to get access to the security settings, default credentials are Security/Securitypwd, and create you own admin account.
