I have an NT4 server running Proxy 2.0 on an ISDN line. I works fine with internet explorer on all clients but wont allow napster to get connect to its server.

I have napster set up to use a proxy server but it says it cant find it.

any help appreciated.

You'll probably have to find out the correct port to connect to Napster (isn't it a little too late? -:) - and open this port on your proxy.

how do i set that up?

napster resolves its server when it starts up, selecting the best one. Would these servers use different ports?

I am very new to using a proxy so all help abd advice is very much appreciated.

Cheers,
James

If the machine that you are running Napster isn´t the proxy server machine, you have to install the proxy client that is licated on \\proxy_server_name\mspclnt.
If it don´t work, find the napster port (it will show or ask you what port you will use). Then you set the port on your Winsock Proxy Server.

I have to agree with mikes999 It is too late
