Hi,
We occasionaly have to work on libraries and tape drives that are connected to Solaris and NT/2k systems, running Networker.
We would like to be able to run a few basic library/drive exercises from a command line to verify that the hardware is working correctly ie: mount/dimounts.
Could anyone help with a basic crib sheet of commands that we could use.

TIA

Please see that Manual Pages document for durther details.

"sjimm" for loading and unloading tapes directly in the autochanger. No networker daemons are needed to do so.

usage:
loading: sjimm <b.t.l of autochanger> slot x drive x

this loads a tape from slot xx into drive xx

for unloading use: sjimm <b.t.l> drive x slot x

<b.t.l> means bus target and lun of device

you an see the b.t.l order of the devices with "inquire"

Thanks for your help guys. These will come in very handy.

What do you mean by <b.t.l of autochanger>

sjimm <b.t.l of autochanger> slot x drive x

Thanks.

b.t.l. = bus.target.lun = physical SCSI address.

Run inquire to get a list of installed SCSI devices.
