Okay, i been using the basic action scripts for flash for like 4 yrs now and all of a sudden, MX 2004 doesnt have it? Is this correct. i wouldnt buy this if it doesnt have the basic action scripting in it. Any one know how i can get this to come up on MX 04?

Thanks bunches

there is an option to use as1 under publish settings but if you select that option you can only publish your file as mx which kind of defeats the purpose of upgrading

much better to learn as2 which is far superior and much more powerfull

okay i done that and it doesnt show the input boxes like flashMX did. Like the drop down menu in A.S. that had BLANK PARENT SELF etc... i want that to show up cause i dont want to look up code.. On how to make a button open up a new window. I just like it the easy way.. Any ideas

also even the right click options doesnt have the actions on the menu when i click on a button.. Why is that?

it has a different menu structure and does not operate in the same way as earlier versions......its learn the new or stick with the old

so it doesnt have the basic action scripts?

I agree with you killbuzz, not having the basic actions is pointless and annoying. I'm really annoyed at this!
