Barcode Readers UK 2

Can anyone suggest a low cost, easy to interface to PC and VB Barcode reader. Not a pen type, something that will read most labels in one shot. Need to investigate. Many thanks

ZOR, there are hundreds if not thousands of different hand held barcode readers out there from 10.00 USD and up.

Just search the web and you will find what you are looking for. Although I would suggest that you search for a higher end one that allows some software configuration.

Many thanks, you got a better searchlist than me. Have a star. I was hoping someone in the UK would come in on one they had just bought. It seems a maze whether RS232/Decoders etc etc are required. Thanks again

Look out for any bar code scanner/reader with a keyboard wedge interface... Basically they just put the date into the keyboard buffer.
Oh, and one of the cheapest around..

Thanks Diederik/mmilan. I will send an email as suggested, thanks for the offer. Thanks Diederik, from what I,ve seen so far, the wedge type being the cheaper. Problem is I am doing a feaseability for someone, and so far the sources I have found cannot gaurantee future supply. They seem to deal with i off job lots from manufacturers, probably end of line selloffs. Regards
