Barcode printing in crystal report

Can ne1 tell me what is the best way to handle barcode fonts in crystal report?

I installed IDAutomationHC39M barcode font on my machine and used it in the report. when i used it it shows me the barcode and if i print from the crystal report ide it prints the barcode too.

Now when i try to load the same report using the reportdocument object and do a printtoprinter......it prints the filed value without converting it to that barcode font.

I also tried with few other barcode 39 fonts....but no luck.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The barcode needs to be installed on your application or web server - and in some cases on the users workstation. Wherever your report is being generated/cached.

Barcodes are easiest to deal with if you view the report in the PDF format.

I have it installed on the web server where the reports are being generated.

It displays fine when i preview it but the requirement here is to send the report directly to the printer for printing without having to see it.

And that's where the problem is the barcode doesn't gets printed

How are you generating the print job to go directly to the printer?

Where is that action taking place (which server / service)?

Could you generate to PDF and print without having to see it?
