I have quite a challenge here. I have a huge database where I am scanning barcodes into a seperate table and running multiple queries between this table and my large database. I would like to make it so when I scan a barcode, Access will scan the huge database and print the results, keep track of mulitiple quantities, etc. I am a proficient programmer but I know no visual basic. Do I need a consultant because I am going way over my head, or what? Can someone help?

Tele,

It doesn't sound like what you're trying to do is going to push you beyond your limits. VB and VBA are quite easy for most programmers to pick up.

If you get into it and have specific questions, come at us with them. If you decide you want to bring in a consultant, or just talk about the possibility, give me a call (number's on the website below), or hang out here and figure out which other people you'd feel comfortable doing business with and check out their web sites. There are several people who hang out here on a regular basis who could take care of this database for you.
