I'm trying to create a Spreadsheet template that will have daily Inventory Receipts dumped into it.
I want to list the Item number and have a formula in the next column to display the barcode of that item. I've tried a few ways but none are working. Does anyone know the exact syntax for a formula and which font would be best to use for a numeric field?
Thanks for any help.

if cell A1 contains the part number and you want a code39 barcode with a data identifier of 'P' the formula is

="*P"&A1&"*"

if you're using a code39 in the cell

I wasn't familiar with a data identifier "P", but
the formula ="*"&A1&"*" worked just fine!
Thanks for the help!

"P" is probably for an AIAG B-10 label which uses different letters to specify different barcodes on the label.
P=Part number
K=PO
Q=quantity
etc.
