I want to make a banner for my website. I have a 3 pics together totalling 9 inches wide and 2 inches tall and I want to place text on top and bottom of the pics to make a banner. It will not allow me to put text above the pics. How would I go about this, it is not working for me? Thank you!

Open all 3 pictures in photoshop.
Create a new file which is 9 inches long and lets say for example, 4 inches high.
Copy and paste each of your images onto this new file.
Above and below the pictures you will have an inch to type text into.
Save the new image file

On your layer window Drag the text you want to be on top up to the top.
