Banner change in theme

For our local intranet we are using a theme for the layout of our webpages. Everytime we change the banner, to add for example a banner in Xmas-theme, all the names of the menu-bars disappear. To repair this I have to open every page and refresh it and save it again.

Who knows a much quicker solution for this problem? Replacing the file which is used for the banner is not the solution :-(

Do you still get the problem after clearing your history?
May be a caching problem

Clearing the history doesn't help.

Just guesses I'm afraid.
Do you get the same effect on all the work stations?
Is the menu Javascript?
Does this only happen the first time the page is loaded?
