bankrec.dat corrupt

I am running Peachtree 2003 and have recently had a problem with running the account reconciliation program. All other programs run just fine. Peachtree just freezes when i click on the account reconciliation program. I think the file is bankrec.dat. I tried the data rebuild within Peachtree but that did not help.

Thanks for any suggestions on rebuilding the file, etc.

Give it sometime to work, allot of time, sometimes five minutes or so. After that the next time you go into Bank Rec it will open right away. It is performing some file updates.

Also, check AntiVirus software.
