balance payables to gl transactions 1

Hello,

I'm wondering if someone could tell me the easiest way to compare gl transactions and aged payables to find a discrepancy at period end. I always post through payables,or I usually do, evidently I have made an error and I just can't think what would be the best way to find it. Thank you for any help.

First look for non-AP transactions in GL.
