bakup exec fails over the network. Help

on Friday nights the backup exec fails over a peer to peer network. I get a tapealert error. the bakup fails. The tapes work when you do a manual backup. Has anyone seen this before?

Is your friday backup different from the one you using in the weekdays? In other words do backup more data on fridays.
We get tapealerts when the tape is full and the system time-out when we do not respond to the alert in time.
